Built for church services and seminars

With Worship Mode, it speaks the church's language — not generic translation. Theological terms like justification and sanctification stay consistent, and the Lord's Prayer, the Creed, and the benediction appear word-for-word instead of being re-translated by AI.

Setting it up for your church is simple

  1. 1Open Settings () and turn on Domain preset → “Worship · Church.”
  2. 2In the same panel, choose your Audio input device.

Once on, the console shows this

If you run your church's sound or video booth, you can do this.

One screen up front. That's the setup.

Phone-only services lose the guests who don't use phones well. Headset interpretation means handing out, collecting and charging receivers. We need one laptop and an HDMI cable — no AV operator, no integration software.

Captions are the core, with optional earphone audio too — and still no receivers to hand out or collect.

When the room speaks two languages,
don't run it without sotonis

01

No interpreter, instant

Human interpreters cost $1,000+ a day, and you need one per direction. AI starts within 2 seconds — we tune it with you at a rehearsal 3 days before.

02

Languages can mix

Speakers switch languages mid-session — direction follows automatically, both sides get captions. Any pair of 82 languages; names and terms are pre-registered.

03

One QR does it all

Guests scan a QR — no app. Each phone picks its own language and text size, while the stage screen runs over HDMI.

Enough talk.
Try it right now.

Say anything into your mic. The real operator console opens and your words appear as captions.

AI reaches
the stage and every phone

Start from the console, and live interpretation goes to the stage screen and every guest's phone at once — with audio, too, through earphones.

1

One console controls it all

The operator runs language, voice, screen, and glossary from a single console. AI starts translating within 2 seconds.

2

Captions go to the stage screen

Live captions appear on the stage-side monitors — readable even from the back row.

3

Guests read on their phones

Scan the QR — no app. Each guest picks text size and translation or original.

4

Hear it through earphones

Prefer listening? Hear the interpretation as audio. All you need is earphones.

Use a separate PC for AI interpretation. Keeping it apart from the presentation PC keeps interpretation running smoothly.

Every word on stage

They mix languages — everyone still reads along

The opening in one language, a greeting in another, a panel that mixes both — that's a real event. sotonis detects the spoken language and captions the other side automatically. Source and translation appear together — on the stage screen and on every guest's phone.

Across generations & languages

Every word on stage,
understood by everyone.

A greeting in one language, a keynote in another, a bilingual panel — whichever way the room speaks, the other side gets captions. Second-generation kids and English-speaking guests are never left out. Pick whichever two of the 82 languages fit your event.

Only one screen? Captions on top of your video

No spare screen for captions? Switch the background to video input and the translated captions ride on the bottom of the screen you already project.

  • No OBS or broadcast software to wire up.
  • Just feed your existing video in over USB with a capture card.
  • Put the captions anywhere — drag them where you want.

FAQ

Do you offer audio interpretation (earphones)?+

Yes, as an option. Guests who find captions hard can plug earphones into their own phone and hear the interpretation. Captions stay the core — no receivers to hand out or collect, and the back row follows the stage screen.

Can it caption online meetings or video audio?+

Yes — it captions audio playing on your laptop (video calls, video clips) onto the stage screen and the phones of people in the room. It's not a video-call integration that distributes captions to each remote participant; sotonis is primarily for in-person events.

Do guests need an app?+

No. They scan a QR and captions open in the phone browser.

How many guests?+

1,000+ read on their own phones at no extra cost.

How good is the interpretation?+

It runs on Google Gemini 3.5 through a real-time API — a translation-native model, so the translation keeps up before a sentence ends. Names, organizations and technical terms are pre-registered before your event and checked at rehearsal with the real speakers.

Can you pre-train it?+

Yes. Upload materials like scripts, papers, or the program, and Gemini reads them to pull out names, organizations, and technical terms — then applies those exact spellings to the interpretation and captions. Even event-specific terms come out right.

What equipment?+

A separate PC for interpretation, your event mic (mixer/USB), an HDMI screen. Keep it apart from the PC running your slides. We set it up together at rehearsal.

What if the internet drops?+

Captions hold their last state and auto-reconnect. For large events we advise a wired + hotspot dual setup.

Refunds?+

Full refund if captions don't show on event day. Single events have no commitment; subscriptions start at three months.
